Winter
Frost which laced the concrete floor,
The cold months, a reminder of war,
Harsh and brutal causing many faults,
Involving people in too many assaults.

Hands frozen to the core,
Nose red and very sore,
A welcoming shower of warmth hits your face,
A hot cup of tea in front of the fire is ace.

Trick or Treat! Halloweens here!
Able to fill people with fear,
Pumpkins laced in the inky black night,
Screams of laughter which can give you a fright!

Bonfire Night, hip hip hooray!
In the black night sky there's such an array,
Reds, blues and even gold!
Such a night to remember and to be told.

24th of December is Christmas Eve,
The last of the shoppers have taken their leave,
Tossing and turning waiting for the day,
Around the fire with presents hip hip hooray!
